Meredith, Goodreads reviewAbout the Project
Cookbook photography
Photographing a cookbook at the level it deserves requires understanding both the product and the people behind it. For Parm To Table, Tom worked across product photography, chef portraits, and dish photography , building a visual library that communicates the breadth of Chef Christian Petroni's culinary experience.
The project also included portrait work with the chef and editorial coverage of his New York Italian culture in the kitchens and neighborhood, giving the cookbook a human face and connecting the chef to the culinary world that has long celebrated him.
Recipes from Parm to Table, shot for this project, were later featured on Good Morning America, in Westchester Magazine, and on The Splendid Table. See the full list of press features.
Approach & Craft
Food product for cookbooks
Cookbooks and authors need photography that communicates the quality of their story while telling its story: provenance, craft, texture, and versatility. Tom's background in editorial food photography means he approaches product work with the same narrative sensibility he brings to restaurant and editorial projects.
Available for artisan food product photography, ingredient brand campaigns, chef collaboration shoots, cookbook-style food photography, and food brand identity projects. Based in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, available nationwide.
