For Los Angeles restaurants built around seasonality, a single photography day can only capture one moment in time. Tom's multi-visit approach to The Courtyard Kitchen allowed him to document the restaurant across different points in the summer season , capturing the full range of the menu as it evolved with the produce available.
The resulting visual library reflects the restaurant's true identity: not a fixed menu, but a living, changing expression of what's best right now. This kind of ongoing photography partnership creates a richer, more authentic archive than any single production day could.
