Cook Eat Discover
Tuscany

A week-long brand travel shoot for Cook Eat Discover, a luxury cooking retreat based in Tuscany. Over seven days and across multiple locations throughout the region, Tom documented the full retreat experience: hands-on cooking sessions, visits to local producers and markets, the farmhouse properties, and the Tuscan food culture that forms the core of the brand.

The brief called for a complete visual library covering food, people, place, and process: imagery that would represent the retreat authentically across Cook Eat Discover's website, editorial, and social channels.

About the Project

A week in Tuscany, seen through food and place

Cook Eat Discover needed photography that could carry the weight of the brand: a luxury cooking retreat whose value proposition is immersion in Tuscan food culture, not just a cooking class. The shoot had to work hard across every category at once.

Over seven days, Tom worked across multiple locations throughout the region, following the retreat's natural rhythm: mornings at local markets, afternoons at the stove, evenings at the table. The resulting library covers ingredients at source, the cooking process itself, finished dishes, the properties, the landscape, and the people behind both the retreat and the local food system it draws from.

Thirty-five final selects give the brand full coverage across digital, print, and social channels: a complete visual identity built around the specificity of place and the pleasure of cooking well.

Approach & Craft

Brand travel photography built for long-term use

Multi-location travel brand shoots require a different kind of planning than a single-day studio job. Each location in Tuscany has its own light, its own pace, its own visual character. The approach on this project balanced consistency of tone with sensitivity to place, so the images read as a coherent body of work while still communicating the variety and depth of the week.

Natural light throughout, with minimal intervention. Food photographed as it was made, with no restyling for camera, no false light. The result is imagery that feels like a record of something real, which is what travel brand photography needs to be to earn the trust of a prospective guest.

For luxury retreat operators, cooking schools, and travel hospitality brands considering a similar shoot, Tom is available for multi-day brand projects in Italy and across Europe. Location-based food and travel photography that holds up in print, online, and in editorial contexts.
