California Wine Trip
A road trip down the California wine corridor, from the rolling hills of Paso Robles through the Santa Ynez Valley and Santa Barbara wine country, finishing with a commercial shoot in Temecula for the Temecula Winegrowers Association.
Part personal editorial, part client work. The kind of trip where I got to shoot with genuine curiosity while also delivering a real library of imagery for a wine region trying to tell its story to a broader audience.

About the Project
California wine country, north to south
I've been wanting to do a proper California wine road trip for a while, and the Temecula Winegrowers Association shoot gave me a reason to make it a real production. The route hits some of the most distinct wine terrain in the state: Paso Robles, Solvang and the Santa Ynez Valley, Santa Barbara, then south to Temecula. People don't always think of them together, but the throughline is there.
The commercial work in Temecula called for lifestyle and portrait imagery that could carry the association's marketing across digital and print: wine country experiences, the warmth of the region, shots that sell a trip as much as a bottle. It's the same beverage photography approach I bring to Southern California clients closer to home. The editorial work I shot along the way fills out the wider California wine picture.
Approach & Craft
Wine region photography for appellations and tourism boards
My approach to wine region work is to photograph what makes a place actually worth visiting. Every stop on this trip had its own character: the rugged ranching energy of Paso Robles, the Danish-inflected calm of Solvang, the sophistication of Santa Barbara wine country, and the surprising depth of what Temecula's producers are doing. Keeping those differences readable in the images was the real job.
I'm available for winery campaigns, appellation marketing, wine tourism content, and editorial features. Based in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, and I know California's wine regions from the Central Coast south better than most.
