Client - Amore Cucina & Bar, Stamford CT

Recently had the opportunity to shoot Bruno DiFabio's new restaurant, Amore Cucina & Bar, in Stamford, Connecticut. We covered just about everything over two days, from interiors to food photography to cocktails. It was really great working with the entire team, including chef Jared Falco and Max Exposure Public Relations. Check it out and if you are in the neighborhood stop by for a really delicious pizza! Travel Photography - Spain

Recently visited Spain for a travel assignment, I'm fairly green to travel photography, but I got my start in this career in photojournalism so I felt comfortable tackling the task. We visited markets in Valencia, restaurants & castles in Mallorca, and caves in Porto Cristo. I really enjoyed all the food (ham!) that we had on the trip and only wish we had longer to eat and drink our way through Spain.

Fortina - Armonk NY

I've known the guys at Fortina from a couple of different restaurants, and together they all made an amazing casual Italian restaurant out in Armonk, NY. I approached them about shooting a day-in-the-life at the place one day for myself and to build them an image library and they were kind enough to say yes.  The shoot was way more photojournalism than my traditional shoots as a food photographer, and I didn't even shoot any food plates by themselves, this was all the interaction of the staff with each other, the customers, and the space. Client - The Monarch Room, NYC

Recently had to shoot some new Fall menu items and desserts in New York City at The Monarch Room, for their social media and for their chefs to use for plating references and records. We used their upstairs private dining space that had an abundance of natural light that we augmented with some small strobes to fill in the dishes. Click ahead to see more images from the shoot!

Client - Washington Prime

Shot a new restaurant in South Norwalk, Washington Prime, and I really loved the space and the food. Washington Prime is a Americana land & sea menu with a excellent cocktail program and brunch service to match! I used multiple techniques to capture the space including tilt-shift lenses, image-stitching, and high dynamic range processing (HDR) to bring out all the unique qualities of the space. I also brought in some custom surfaces I had made to add some variety to the food and drink photos. Click ahead for more photos of the food and restaurant!

Client - Arezzo, Westport CT

Had the opportunity to shoot a few images for Arezzo in Westport, CT, not a full shoot but just some quick extras they needed to supplement their existing photo library. We focused on the pizza oven and new menu items that they had created utilizing it. If you stop in you have to try the Nutella dessert pizza and the chicken that’s cooked in their wood-fired oven. Client - Angelika Film Centers

A few months ago we shot food for the Angelika Film Center, a nationwide luxury movie theater chain, for their marketing and in-location digital signage. We managed to shoot over two dozen setups on location in 2 days thanks to a very efficient styling and assisting team, and the good fortune of having an unused storefront right next to the theater we rented for the shoot. Client - Stinson Vineyards

I have the good fortune of shooting for Stinson Vineyards every so often, and as we shot this past week, I had great weather and light to capture the beginning of their spring season. We shot some casual shots of the family working around the vineyard, and the images came out great. The winery will be using these photos for advertising and PR materials. If you are ever in the Charlottesville area, head out to the vineyard for some great wine and an amazing view of the surrounding mountains. For more images from the shoot click ahead!

Rive French Bistro

Shot for a new restaurant last month in Westport, CT, I’ve been trying to add some more interaction to my photographs of food, attempted it here without an assistant and pulled some pretty gnarly yoga moves to get the camera and fork (me holding it) into position for those shots. Plus I need to get a manicure or something next time I throw my thumb into an image.
