I stink at this. Anyway in Philippines at the moment, specifically in Boracay until Mon, then Manila, then Singapore. Here’s some photos from the trip so far, hopefully next update wont be in 4 months.

After shooting the “standard photos” and video for the client today, I took some time and tried some panning shots, def different from panning vehicles, there’s knees and joints and all manner of stuff going on while a horse does it thing. Side note: My usual imagery is shoot at wide-open aperture, these are at f/29 and holy crap there is a lotta stuff on my sensor.
Went down to VA this 4th of July weekend to spend some time with friends, specifically one whose winery was having it’s grand opening for the weekend. We grilled, drank, laughed, swam, tornadoed, all the usual vacation stuff. Oh and I managed to take some photos and video for the vineyard too:

On the drive back I detoured to Arlington, VA to have a few burgers I’ve been hearing about at Ray’s Hell Burger, apparently a popular spot with the locals.
I ended up eating the Foie Gras Burger while I was there and transported two of the bone marrow-topped offerings all the way back to CT for dinner and the next days lunch, anyone that travels DC to CT often want to be my burger courier?
Back to updating, nice fast phone that will actually update a blog, I’m saying hi to 21st century
Not a shoot, but was down in city for meetings Friday and hunted down Coolhaus, an ice-cream sandwich food truck. Found it in the Friends With You Art installation at 30th n 11th, right by one of the highline entrances. Lots of style, good flavors, and an edible wrapper, I need one of these local to me.
Shooting interiors and food/ drink images for the guys at Geronimo in New Haven, here is a quick preview of the food stuff that I’ve already taken, it’s a great location to shoot at with lots of shaded natural light and lots of space to get equipment around (as long as it’s not during dinner service, then take back what I said about space).
I know this issue of Stamford Magazine has passed off the newsstands already, but I didn’t even know I was in it and had two copies I had picked up a few weeks back at a event. They used my images of Tappo restaurant in Stamford in quite a few places, starting at the Table of Contents, then moving on to the Tappo ad, an interior of the restaurant at the top of the dining section, and in a two page article about the the space with both food and interior images.
Shot some custom upholstery and furniture for Apollonian House in Norwalk on Monday. They can make you furniture based off photos or video, great if you have a certain piece of furniture you saw in a movie or magazine and want it recreated for your home. These are some of the detail images, the full furniture shots are still being picked over/edited:
Didn’t have an actual shoot at Beach Burger, but stopped in on Saturday and had my point and shoot on me (S95, best little camera out there!). That’s the “Surf and Turf” btw, forgot to ask for the hot sauce but there’s always next time.
